Cambiare senso reimagines three major urban arteries in the historic centre of Brescia: Via San Faustino, Via Antonio Gramsci and Corso Martiri della Libertà. The project aims to reduce the dominance of cars and reclaim urban space for people, nature and public life. Three distinct streets are brought together by a shared strategy that transforms mobility into an opportunity for urban regeneration. Via San Faustino becomes a green river, a shaded, walkable linear park designed for people to slow down and spend time. Via Gramsci is transformed into a new urban gateway to Piazza Vittoria. Corso Martiri becomes a place to inhabit, rather than simply pass through. Greenery becomes climate infrastructure, while new spaces for people to gather, pause and interact redefine the experience of the street. It is not simply about changing traffic flows, but about changing the very meaning of the city.
