THE UNESCO CORRIDOR AWARDED AT THE CITY’SCAPE AWARD 2024 – The open-air museum is an emblem of ‘Tourism Landscape’
Milan, July 12, 2024 – The UNESCO CORRIDOR received the 3rd prize in the prestigious CITY’SCAPE AWARD 2024 in the category “Tourism Landscape – The Landscape Project for Tourism” at the Salone d’Onore of the Triennale di Milano. This international award, now in its 8th edition, is organized by PAYSAGE Promotion and Development for Landscape Architecture in collaboration with the international magazine TOPSCAPE and the CNAPPC – National Council of Architects, Planners, Landscapers, and Conservators.
Open to architects, engineers, designers and professionals, universities, municipalities, public administrations, public entities, associations, and foundations, the award aims to identify and promote new possible balances in a space conceived to allow the dialogue between architecture and landscape.
“We are delighted to receive this prestigious recognition,” declared architects Camillo Botticini and Matteo Facchinelli. “The UNESCO CORRIDOR project reflects our dedication to the integration of the landscape and the inclusion of all stakeholders, realizing the possibility of uniting and opening up previously closed places to the city, providing a true promenade – a section on the Roman and medieval urban history of Brescia. A ‘stone carpet’ winds through alleys, squares, courtyards, and monuments, allowing everyone to enjoy these extraordinary places.”
