Finalist project
Urban Eden is an urban project that offers a contemporary interpretation of Prague’s historic fabric, taking shape within a masterplan as an open and permeable urban block. The architecture engages with the city’s layered character, redefining the skyline without breaking its identity, instead projecting it toward the future. The masterplan introduces public and shared spaces—porticoes, green terraces, and an inner courtyard—and prioritizes durable, locally rooted materials, such as brick and recycled aluminum. At the heart of the project lies the quality of living, enhanced by community-oriented shared spaces and integrated digital services. Conceived as a benchmark for sustainable living in a strategic urban location, Florenc21 adopts advanced energy solutions and an innovative construction system that combines architectural lightness, residential flexibility, and the use of hybrid structures, including timber. Urban Eden aspires to become a new urban icon for Prague: a recognizable project that brings together architecture, sustainability, and contemporary identity.
