The project restores and enhances a complex dating back to the 1950s, originally conceived as a school-workshop for the children of Pirelli employees. The ensemble consists of a classroom building and a brick industrial structure characterised by metal shed roofs. In the 1990s, the complex underwent a series of alterations that almost completely erased its original character.
The new project recognises the potential of the original structural module, which is recovered, updated and reorganised into a new layout. The intervention realigns the main building with the brick structure and removes part of the connecting volume.
The architectural image of the complex is renewed through the addition of a metal façade that reinterprets the rhythm and composition of the existing structure, establishing a new balance and proportion between its elements.
