The project is located in a strategic position between the built city and the landscape of Mont’Orfano, transforming a currently fragmented and introverted area into a new urban device, a gateway to Franciacorta. The intervention takes the form of an urban regeneration strategy, transforming a closed enclave into an open and permeable system capable of reactivating relationships between the city, public spaces, and the surrounding landscape. The removal of physical boundaries and the introduction of a pedestrian boulevard generate a new urban infrastructure, organizing a coherent system of open and built spaces. Vegetation becomes an integral part of the project, contributing to the construction of a continuous landscape in dialogue with its context and existing systems. The new building is conceived as part of this system: a permeable portico embraces the existing structures and defines a public threshold, while the auditorium volume emerges as a contemporary landmark, capable of interpreting the site’s stratification without overwhelming it.
