Rovato Cultural Hub

The project is located in a strategic position between the built city and the landscape of Mont’Orfano, intervening in an area that is currently fragmented and introverted. The intervention takes the form of an urban regeneration strategy, transforming a closed enclave into an open and permeable system capable of reactivating relationships between the city, public spaces, and the surrounding landscape. The removal of physical boundaries and the introduction of a pedestrian boulevard generate a new urban infrastructure, organizing a coherent system of open and built spaces. Vegetation becomes an integral part of the project, contributing to the construction of a continuous landscape in dialogue with its context and existing systems. The new building is conceived as part of this system: a permeable portico embraces the existing structures and defines a public threshold, while the auditorium volume emerges as a contemporary landmark, capable of interpreting the site’s stratification without overwhelming it.
