Holiday home in the countryside of Lecce

A vacation home in an agricultural setting with historical crops: the concept of tradition surrounds this house, featuring dry stone walls, small stone buildings, embankments, olive groves, and becomes a value of interaction between humans and nature. The facades exhibit a material substance in white plastered walls, evoking an ancient construction idea with diagonal stepped walls. Various-sized square wooden windows freely punctuate the facade on different levels, without conforming to a proportional scheme, in relation to an ancient and non-noble building configuration. Thus, each front is different from the others. The thickness of the wall protrudes from the windows, and once inside, it creates significant obliquities on the sides to suggest a directed and focused view of the ever-changing landscape and its perspectives, blending on the horizon between trees, land, and sky.

Tradition and contemporaneity, solid construction roots, and strong changes, through a house that overlaps with the terrain, freeing itself from agricultural requirements

The materials constantly refer to local traditions: the stones of the vault are reflected in the Lecce stone floor
