ARWords
The new series of lectures organized and discussed by the ARW team.
Lecture Title: “Social Identity”
The workshop focuses on the perception of space and how it influences people’s behavior, both rationally and subconsciously.
There are numerous aspects of social psychology and sociology that address this topic.
Today’s chosen theme is connected to social identity theory, which states that part of an individual’s identity, and consequently that of groups, comes from the organizations and groups to which a person feels they must belong. Therefore, when an architect designs a space, they can ask themselves a series of questions to better meet the client’s needs and understand what the client desires when the space is ultimately constructed.
