ARWords: Lecture 2 – Settlement Sustainability

ARWords
The new conference series organized and discussed by ARW people.

Today’s lecture: “Settlement Sustainability”
Settlement sustainability is the architecture’s ability to respond to places by transforming them. The settlement landscape, in its complexity, thus becomes the reference material: geography, the historical significance of places, the environment with its contradictions, morphological and altimetric features, and soil characteristics are taken as generative elements of the project.
